Please advise The number of persons on the cataract operations waiting list The monthly average of cataract operations performed here on the Island Is it correct that both eyes are not done at the same time but one and normally the second within 2 weeks. However does Manxcare assess the second eye as to whether it should be done urgently or routinely? If routine does that mean you have to wait again for some time. Might you please advise average waiting time for routine surgery to second eye

We write further to your request, received 9 October 2024, which states:
"Please advise
The number of persons on the cataract operations waiting list
The monthly average of cataract operations performed here on the Island
Is it correct that both eyes are not done at the same time but one and normally the
second within 2 weeks.
However does Manxcare assess the second eye as to whether it should be done
