The Department of Health and Social Care (the “Department”) has considered your request to relate this tweet from the personal twitter account of Lawrie Hooper MHK (based on the link you provided): -

“Although our performance is arguably better - the UK is trying to reduce their average wait for a GP appointment to 7 days whereas the latest reporting from Manx Care is an avg wait of 7 days (July 24)”

Our response to your request is as follows;

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, under section 20 of the Freedom of Information Act 2015 (the “Act”), we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you, whether free of charge or on payment of a fee. These reports are published by Manx Care and the report for July 2024 can be found here. In line with the Department’s duty to advise and assist under section 15 of the Act previous Integrated Performance Report can also be found here.

In addition, to identify the report referenced we have confirmed with Minister Lawrie Hooper MHK the report he was referring to in this personal tweet. It was the July 2024 Integrated Performance Report (IPR), which is Manx Care’s monthly report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each service area. Whilst the request is for the entire report, the specific page he referred to in his personal tweet is page 26.
