We write further to your request received 30 August 2024, which states:

"Please supply in full without any redactions, the DHSC and Manx government costs of:

1) masks for claimed prevention of 'covid'

2) lateral flow 'tests' ('LFT's') for 'covid'

3) PCR 'tests' for 'covid'

4) legal costs for drawing up 'covid' legislation

5) vaccine costs for 'covid' jabs - not limited to Pfizer or Oxford Astra Zeneca"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Department of Health and Social Care (the Department) is unable to provide the information that you have requested. This is in line with Section 11(3)a of the Act, as a practical refusal reason applies; namely we do not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested.

With regards to question number 4, you may wish to re-submit your request to The Cabinet Office and for the remaining questions, you may wish to re-submit your request to Manx Care which are options available on the Freedom of Information request portal, where they may be able to help you.

To provide advice and assistance, the Department of Health and Social Care redesigned on 1 April 2021 as a direct result of Sir Jonathan Michael’s Independent Review of the Isle of Man Health and Care System. This Review continues to be a catalyst for change and improved service provision. The redesigned Department ensures the separation between the setting of policy and strategy and the delivery of services by Manx Care.
