Following consideration of your request in session today, the Inspector has concluded that a further appearance for Baccarat would not be appropriate in the circumstances, nor able to be accommodated in the inquiry programme at this stage, considering also that the matter of concern regarding the interrelationship between area planning and any national infrastructure strategy has been aired throughout the inquiry. However, the Inspector will accept a written legal submission for Baccarat Ltd if it is received by 5pm Fri 2 Aug, which will be offered to CABO for response alongside other additional written material requested by the Inspector. The Inspector hold to his position that, for Baccarat failed to make an initial response to the public consultation in mid-2022 or to register for this Inquiry by the extended due date or to make clear his interest in the Inquiry, until it was finally determined that he should be included for the first day of hearings on infrastructure. More importantly, the document has now been posted in the public domain and will be taken into account by the Inspector. As for the further submission proffered as a closing statement by although the inspector is not accepting closing statements as such he has decided in the circumstances to accept it as a further WR for due consideration alongside all other oral and written evidence and he document it will be put online .
