My initial thoughts on this..
We could share some of our people stories from the Engineering and Finance campaign.
Engineering
Not quite a full relocation, but a retention piece –
Finance
and friends would be perfect, .
Any case studies from before my time which might fit the bill and tick the diversity box?
They’ve highlighted some TT case studies, which are the theme they seem to be looking for, based on the time of year/TT approaching. Are we ok to resubmit these in publications outside of Locate’s website or would we need to reach out for additional permission?
Let me know your thoughts so I can get back to , if you have a couple of mins to take a look/drop me a reply.
Many thanks

Hi
,
Separately to TT, we’re running a special focus campaign on Diversity from next week, in tandem with World Day for Cultural Diversity. This will be part of Media Isle of Man’s current Future Series and launches with the Diversity print supplement in next week’s Courier.
The team wondered if Locate would like to share relocation stories highlighting the experiences of more diverse residents and businesses relocating to or returning to our shores. An email with links from Kim’s team is below.

Dear
Ref: Freedom of Information Act 2015
I write further to your request, received 18 June 2024, which states:
"All records relating to this article: https://www.iomtoday.co.im/diversity/the- challenges-and-benefits-of-relocating-to-the-isle-of-man-689264
Including contracts, payments, correspondence, invoices and receipts related to it."
Our response to your request is as follows:
The attached files contain email correspondence in connection with the above media
article and have been redacted in accordance with section 25(b)(i)(ii) of the Freedom
of Information Act 2015, as absolutely exempt personal information.
The reasons why that exemption applies are that:
• The information amounts to personal data of which you are not the data
subject; and
• disclosure of the information would contravene one of the data protection
principles as set out in Article 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation as it
applies in the Isle of Man pursuant to the Data Protection (Application of GDPR)
Order 2018, namely that it is only permitted to disclose the information where
it would be fair and lawful and meet one of the conditions for lawful processing
in Article 6 and in this case, none of those conditions have been met.
Locate Isle of Man, a section of the Department for Enterprise, was approached by
Media Isle of Man as part of their May 2024 'Diversity' Future Series (coinciding with
World Day for Cultural Diversity) to explore whether Locate could facilitate
introductions to residents and businesses who had completed recent relocation stories
to understand whether they would be willing to contribute to the feature.
Locate Isle of Man responded by sharing relevant content links and contact details,
with Media Isle of Man conducting the interviews independently for their feature.
