Original Request
I would like to know the date of when the first market rating exercise was carried out and applied after a role was put through the Job evaluation grading scheme 2017 (JEGS) and it was agreed by the PSC that a market rating exercise would be carried out. I would also like to know which roles went through a market rating exercise and did they receive any back dated pay once the market rating supplement was agreed and applied including the following: - Was the market rating supplement back dated to the 1st April 2019 or was it back dated to the date of the PSC confirmation letter for the role which states that a market rating exercise will be carried out? Or was it negotiated back pay? On 11 June 2024 we wrote to ask you for clarification: In order to identify and locate the exact information that you have asked for we need some further information from you and further clarification. To allow us to fully understand your request and to enable us to search, locate and identify what you are looking for please can you, for the first part of the question, can you please advise what role is being referred to? The second part of this is this information from the PSC that you are looking for? The second part of the question, can you please confirm which market rating exercise and what roles? If you can provide as much clarification as possible so that it is clear where to search. We will be able to supply information on behalf of Cabinet Office. Please note information may be held by the PSC and separate Freedom of Information requests can be made directly to the PSC. You replied on 11 June as follows: Thanks for your reply. I have sent the same FOI request to the PSC as you mentioned in your previous email so hopefully that part is ok. Regarding which roles I would like to know have had a market rating exercise carried out for and what dates they were completed it would be for all the DOI roles which had a market rating exercise agreed.
