Dear ###

We write further to your request received 30 May 2024, which states:

"For each year since the Sexual Assault Referral Centre opened, how many users has it had?"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Manx Care is unable to provide the information you have requested. This is in line with section 11(3)a of the Act, as a practical refusal reason applies; namely we do not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested.

In order to provide advice and guidance, it may be helpful for you to know that the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) as a facility is not yet fully operational. We are currently able to offer a service, for police referrals only, for adults and children. This is because the building is currently under construction and not due to be completed until May 2025. Therefore, we are unable to provide the statistics for how many users it has had.

Please quote the reference number 3891741 in any future communications.
