Dear ###
We write further to your request, received 13 May 2024, which states:
"Please indicate:
a) Number of green living grants claimed so far and total grant cost (including EPC costs)
b) number of EPC surveys which took place, and the total cost paid for the surveys."
Our response to your request is as follows:
a) Number of green living grants claimed so far and total grant cost (including EPC costs)
• The total number of grant offers made is 1,121. • The total grant amount offered to applicants is £3,001,991.74. • The number of grant payments made is 849. • The total amount of grants paid to applicants is £2,087,994.61.
The Department wishes to advise that Energy Performance Certificates (“EPC”) are not produced nor provided as part of the Green Living Grant Scheme, however, this is replaced with a Manx Home Energy Audit (“MHEA”).
• The combined value of grants paid to applicants including the MHEA costs is £3,041,544.61.
b) number of EPC surveys which took place, and the total cost paid for the surveys.
As clarified above, EPC surveys are not undertaken as part of the Scheme, therefore, the information provided below relates to the completion of MHEA’s and associated cost:
• The total number of MHEAs paid for (and therefore considered satisfactorily completed), including initial and follow up audits, is 4,266. • The total cost of these MHEAs is £953,550.00.
