another. Although this c omplaint was f ound t o be b aseless , it did form
the basis for furthe r investigation, which is cu rrently pendin g further

The enforcement actions specific to employment agencies in the 5 years to 29th April are:

• Jun-20 Complex multi-faceted complaint regarding licenced agency. Most was found to be baseless or a misunderstanding, however one issue was identified which the individual failed to provide further information concerning. Case dropped due to lack of evidence.

• Dec-23 Complaint about a non-licensed entity potentially operating as an agency. One this occasion a licence was found not to be required for this body.

• Feb-23 Complaint regarding labour moving from one employment to another. Although this complaint was found to be baseless, it did form the basis for further investigation, which is currently pending further action.

• Oct-23 Series of enforcement visits concerning alleged unregistered employment agency - this case is currently pending.

• Jun-23 Onwards, a series of connected concerns about an entity alleging non-compliance. Evidence has not been identified, however this remains under investigation. Three visits have been made to the place of business, and words of advice given.

• Apr-24 Complaint regarding an agency which did not require licensing. This has been passed to the appropriate authorities.
