Dear
Re: Freedom of Information Request – Reference Number 366459
Your Request:-
Awards, grants and loans provided by the Isle of Man Arts Council since 11 October 2011 with details of recipient and amount.
Arts Council Board Members since 11 October 2011 with details of their period of office
Department Response:-
The Department is able to provide the requested information in the attached tables.
Section 25 exemption Whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance please note that some information within the attached tables (specifically the names of individuals) has been redacted. This is because the Department is satisfied that the redacted information amounts to personal data under the Data Protection Act 2002 which is absolutely exempt from disclosure under section 25 (exempt personal information) of the Freedom of Information Act (the Act).
The redacted content constitutes personal data and we do not have the express permission to publicly disclose this information, nor can we do so without such permission as the conditions in Schedule 2 of the Data Protection Act are not met. To do so would result in a contravention of the data protection principles, as publication permission has not been obtained nor were there any terms of agreement in place for public FoI disclosures (in respect of personal data relating to such historic loans, awards and grant payments).
However notwithstanding the redaction of some personal details we have still shown the full amounts for all awards, grants and loans which we hope will be of help to you.
Arts, Council Board members
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, under section 20 of the Act, we are

accessible to you, whether free of charge or on payment of a fee. Information on the current
members of the Arts Council and their tenure is available from https://www.iomarts.com/who-
