Thank you for your request dated March 8th 2018.
Your request
You asked for;
How many people have been prosecuted for failing to ensure FIRE DOOR SETS within their responsibility have been inspected and or adequately maintained in (a) the last 10 years (b) since the 2014 IOM Building regulation's came into force.
In order to clarify your request I contacted you by phone and also email. Following these discussions it was agreed that the wording used would be as follows; How many people have been prosecuted for issues relating to the fitting and maintenance of fire doors;
Response to your request
Reference prosecutions and the above question I would highlight the following
separate fire door related prosecutions (within wider prosecutions)

Fire door lock
•
Fire door not maintained
•
Fire door not closing into its rebate
•
Fire door not closing due to hinges becoming detached
•
Fire Door wedged open
•
2 fire doors not closing into their rebates.
So six separate prosecutions involved issues with fire doors
