Dear ###

Your request We write further to your request which was received on 6 March 2018 and which requests:

"A copy of all communications the Dept has had with the devopler announced this week for the Lord Street site. Was their a tender process, if so all documents relating to this. What rent will govt obtain from the site. A copy of the draft lease.” We wrote to you to request clarification of your request and you replied: "Thank you for your letter. It's difficult to be specific without seeing any of the documents. If we start will the exchange of correspondence between the Dept and the Developer for the last three months. I hope this narrows this down and is manageable for you.”

Our response We enclose copies of correspondence between the Development Team Co-ordinator for the Department for Enterprise and the Lord Street/South Quay developers, for the 3 months prior to 6 March 2018, when we received your request.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we have redacted some of the information contained in the correspondence (specifically personal information such as personal telephone numbers of developer staff from Kane Ltd and JLL) because it is absolutely exempt under section 25 of the Act (absolutely Page 2 of 3 exempt personal information). The reasons why that exemption applies are that the Department: • is satisfied that the information amounts to personal data under the Data Protection Act 2002. • is satisfied that disclosure of the information would contravene one of the data protection principles, namely that the Department can only disclose the information where it would be fair, lawful and meet one of the conditions in schedule 2 and in this case, none of those conditions have been met. Please quote the reference number 361185 in any future communications.
