I write in connection with your request for information dated 27th June 2017, which was received by this office on 27th June 2017. I note you seek access to the following information:
I would be obliged if you would inform me as to how many incidents of any sort that the police are aware of concerning road traffic on Strang Road in Union Mills since 1 January 2017 up to today.
Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within the Isle of Man Constabulary to locate information relevant to your request. I can confirm that the Isle of Man Constabulary hold the information you have requested.
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within the Analysts Department.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Police data was reviewed (both Road Traffic Collision reports and ESJCR incidents) which occurred between 01/01/2017 and 31/05/2017, and were recorded as occurring on Strang Road (between co-ordinates 2365375, 477810 and 236130, 4878235).
Two incidents were found where the highway was obstructed by parked cars near planters in January and May, and a further incident on 2nd January 2017 where a traffic calming box had been reported knocked over, which DOI were aware of, but was not recorded as a Road Traffic Collision.
