Thank you for your FOI request dated 15 July 2017. Your request You asked: “What costs have been incurred by the Dept as it relates to Vision 9.”

Response to your request The only information that the Department holds on costs incurred relating to Vision Nine is the cost of undertaking two procurement exercises to which Vision Nine, among others, submitted applications. The Department is unable to separate out the costs it incurred specifically relating to Vision Nine’s involvement in the two tender processes.

The external costs associated with the first tender, for the TT series (including the cost of the TT series feasibility study) were £332,049. This figure was advised to and discussed in Tynwald on 17 November 2015. It should be noted that no appointment was made as a result of this tender.

The second tender was for a promoter for the domestic TT event. The costs associated with this tender (which led to the Department’s initial selection of Vision Nine as the preferred partner) were £76,816.54.
