  1. What was the cost of (a) repairs and (b) resurfacing to the TT Course requested by Race Organisers in 2017?
  2. What was the cost of preparing and removing the furniture required for the one way system on the Mountain Section of the TT Course in 2017? The cost of erecting the signage during the road closure for preparation works, and the cost for replacing cones and signs?
  3. What was the total cost of removing and replacing bollards on the Mountain Section before and after each practice and race which were used in connection with the one-way system in 2017? To include the erection and dismantling of the one way system for TT
  4. What was the total cost of staffing the TT Access Road during practice and race periods of the TT in 2017?

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested; the reasons and statutory exemption sections are shown as part of the corresponding answers below.

1a. In this instance we do not record the information in a format that allows us to answer this part of the question. While the race organisers might highlight areas of concern, we will only carry out repairs that meet the criteria for patching, therefore any work done was classed as part of our normal activities.

Under section 11(3) practical refusal reason (b) of the Act referencing s8(3), the Act states that “a public authority is not required to create or derive information from the information that it holds; undertake research into, or analysis of, information that it holds; or undertake substantial compilation or collation of information that it holds”
