APPENDIX 1

An extract of the daily Air Traffic Movement Log for IOM Airport for the morning to 1300 hours local time for 10 March 2017. As you will see, in its basic form, most of the information is in code. Without going into explanation of every code, please note the following:

✈ The callsigns used by pilots to Air Traffic Control differ to those used by passenger boarding cards

✈ Column F 'Code' are specific codes we (IOM Airport) use to categorise the flight

✈ Column G 'Cat' is a specific identifier used by IOM Airport on the type of flight rules (instrument v visual flight rules)

✈ Column H stands for ‘actual time of departure’

✈ Columns I and J 'From' and 'To' respectively have four letter codes for origins and destinations. 'EG_ ' is a British Airport, the prefix 'EI _' represents Ireland (not Northern Ireland)

✈ Column K stands for ‘actual time of arrival’

✈ This log represents only those aircraft movements which 'touched' the runway on this date.
