We write further to your request dated 21 August 2017, which was received on 21 August 2017 and which states:-

 What does the Financial Intelligence Unit do that is different to what the Financial Crime Unit did?  How is the role of the Financial Intelligence Unit different to that of the Financial Services Authority?  What is the salary of the Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit and is this paid by the tax payer?

A request is not valid if it does not, in accordance with section 9(5)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2015, state the name of the applicant and an address for correspondence. As your request does not state your name, we do not consider it to be a valid request. Accordingly, we are not obliged to respond to it. However, if you provide your name we will be able to consider your request and respond in accordance with the Act.
