Page 2 of 3 FOIA/DHSC/1718/01 Response to your request We are pleased to be able to provide a response to your request with answers to your questions: Question 01: Please can you provide me with details of the numbers of endoscopy procedures conducted between 01/04/16-31/03/17 broken down by location and calendar month. The two locations I am seeking data from are Ramsey District Cottage Hospital (RDCH) and Noble’s Hospital. The information should include data relating to the following procedures: flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and gastroscopy. The numbers of procedures related to the specific types of endoscopies does not need to be broken down. Please find the Department’s response to Question 01 in the table below. In addition to flexible sigmoidoscopies, colonoscopies and gastroscopies, we have also included cystoscopies as these also take place in the Endoscopy Suite. It should also be noted that patients may have had more than one procedure during an admission.

As above, in addition to flexible sigmoidoscopies, colonoscopies and gastroscopies, we have also cystoscopies. The following points should also be noted:  the Total Number Waiting is the total number of patients on the waiting list on the last day of each month  the Total Number Waiting shows how many unique patients are on the list; it should be noted that these patients may be waiting for more than one procedure
