Your request You asked for: Question 01: “How many doctors at nobles have been reclassified as consultants during the last 12 months and has a decision been made to reclassify existing doctors as consultants in the next 12 months?” Question 02: “Have the posts that have or intended to been approved by the Royal College during the last 12 months are any more applications going to be made for new posts?” Question 03: “The doctors that or will be reclassified are they on the GMC or on the GMC GP Register”
Response to your request We are pleased to be able to provide a response to your request with answers to your questions: Question 01: How many doctors at nobles have been reclassified as consultants during the last 12 months and has a decision been made to reclassify existing doctors as consultants in the next 12 months? 1. Please find the Department’s response to Question 01: No doctors have been re- classified as Consultants at Noble’s Hospital in the last 12-months and there are no plans to re-classify any doctor as a Consultant. However, we are converting existing middle grade doctor locum expenditure to create a number of additional Consultant posts. We have so far established an additional four Consultant posts through this method and currently progressing with recruitment.

Please find the Department’s response to Question 02: All Consultant posts are required to be approved by the respective Royal College and adherence to this requirement is fully complied with.
