Response to your request We are pleased to be able to provide a response to your request with answers to your questions: Question 01: What date was the MARS scheme approved by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC)? In response to Question 01, the scheme was approved by the Minister and political members on 13 October 2017.

In response to Question 02, the scheme was considered by the Treasury on 15 November 2017, and the Minister for Health and Social Care briefed the Council of Ministers about it on 16 November 2017. The approval of the Council of Ministers was not required. Question 03: What was the first date of the organisational restructure of Nobles Hospital discussed at a) the Department and b) at senior management meetings? In response to Question 03, this matter was first discussed by the Executive Leadership Team on 7 March 2017, and at the Department meeting on 7 April 2017. Question 04: What dates were organisational plans circulated to Noble’s management into the restructure of Noble’s management/teams? In response to Question 04, plans were shared confidentially by the Director of Hospital Services on a one-to-one basis with senior managers in Noble’s Hospital between 16 and 23 March 2017. These one-to-one meetings were followed by an ‘away day’ at the Keyll Darree Education and Training Centre on 10 April 2017 which was attended, in part, by the Executive Leadership Team. Noble’s Hospital clinical directors were advised of the proposed organisational structure changes by the Director of Hospital Services on 11 April 2017. Question 05: Where and when was the post of Director/Deputy Director of Operations at Nobles Hospital advertised for recruitment and when was the successful applicant appointed? In response to Question 05, there is no post of Director/Deputy Director of Operations.
A proposed post of Head of Operations at Noble’s Hospital has not yet been advertised or recruited to. The Divisional Manager for Surgery is currently acting as Head of Operations until the recruitment process has been conducted.
