REQUEST UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2015 (“the Act”) Thank you for your request to the Department of Health and Social Care, dated 19 July 2017 Your request You asked for: Question 01: “I would like a copy of the Report of an investigation, on behalf of Tynwald, into allegations relating to the management of case files and relationships with service users in the Department of Health and Social Care, Children and Family Services, that was presented to Tynwald yesterday (18/07/17)…” Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Department does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that the applicant has requested; this is in line with section 11(3)(a) of the Act. The Report to which your request pertains was not, in fact, presented to Tynwald on 18 July 2017 but rather a statement was made that it would be brought to Tynwald in October 2017 for publication and debate: the Tynwald Court Official Report Proceedings Hansard for that sitting, available here: http://www.tynwald.org.im/business/hansard/ 20002020/t170718%20RHF.pdf, records on line 2315, The Minister for Policy and Reform, Hon. Chris Thomas MHK: “I would like to advise this Hon. Court that the Council of Ministers has tasked the Social Policy and Children’s Committee with developing an action plan which responds to the recommendations in the Report and with bringing both the plan and the Report to Tynwald for debate in October of this year.” When the final Report is received within the Department it cannot be released until after its official publication to Tynwald members. It will then be publicly available on the Tynwald website via a link on the Order Paper.
