Thank you for your request dated 10th October 2017.
You asked: In relation to the operation of the meat plant, and the tender process has a preferred tender been accepted, if so the name of the successful tender.

How much monies has the Dept. paid to the meat plant in the current financial year?

Response to your request Our aim is to provide information wherever possible and in this instance we confirm that we do hold some information to answer your request. Q.1 In relation to the operation of the meat plant, and the tender process has a preferred tender been accepted, if so the name of the successful tender.

The tenders were initially assessed by officers from this Department, the Department of Infrastructure and the Department of Economic Development on 6th September 2017. The tenderers have now been invited to make a presentation to the assessing committee and the outcome of the tender process should be decided shortly after this has taken place.

As previously advised, once the tender process has been concluded, the full details of the process will be published on the Procurement Services webpage - https://www.gov.im/media/383300/notification-of- tender-results-sept-2017.pdf.

Q.2 How much monies has the Dept. paid to the meat plant in the current financial year?

I can confirm that since April 2017 the Department has paid £500,000 in subvention payments to the Meat Plant.
