You asked: - The number of meetings the Minister has had with parties regarding the development of tourist accommodation, commonly referred to as glamping, between 1st January 2016 and 21st August 2017. - The number of meetings Department officers have had with parties regarding the development of tourist accommodation, commonly referred to as glamping, between 1st January 2016 and 21st August 2017. - Between 1st January 2014 and 21st August 2017, the number of sites under the ownership of the Department which have been identified for potential development as tourist accommodation, commonly referred to as glamping sites. - Between 1st January 2016 to 21st August 2017, the number of sites under the ownership of the Department which have been or are being scoped and explored for development as glamping sites. Response to your request Our aim is to provide information wherever possible and in this instance we confirm that we do hold some information to answer your request. 1. The number of meetings the Minister has had with parties regarding the development of tourist accommodation, commonly referred to as glamping, between 1st January 2016 and 21st August 2017. We do not hold information relating to the number of meetings the Minister has had with parties specifically regarding the development of tourist accommodation, commonly referred to as glamping. information search did not retrieve any information where ‘Tourist Accommodation’ and/or ‘Glamping’ was documented as the meeting subject.

The number of meetings Department officers have had with parties regarding the development of tourist accommodation, commonly referred to as glamping, between 1st January 2016 and 21st August 2017. The total number of meetings Department officers have had with parties regarding the development of tourist accommodation, commonly referred to as glamping, between 1st January 2016 and 21st August 2017 is 30.
3. Between 1st January 2014 and 21st August 2017, the number of sites under the ownership of the Department which have been identified for potential development as tourist accommodation, commonly referred to as glamping sites. The number of sites under the ownership of the Department which have been identified for potential development as tourist accommodation, commonly referred to as glamping sites is approximately 21.
Please be aware broad considerations have taken place over a number of years, and this figure includes sites considered from 2011 to date. Please note planning consultations were not made on each of these sites.
4. Between 1st January 2016 to 21st August 2017, the number of sites under the ownership of the Department which have been or are being scoped and explored for development as glamping sites. A further two sites have been subject of requests to the Department by third parties, but they require further consideration.
