Thank you for your request dated 11 June 2017. The questions contained in your request are listed below. The answers to those questions are highlighted in blue. “For the two week period of the TT and referring to either free or complimentary: How many persons received free VIP or corporate hospitality tickets for the TT and what the reason for this was? There were 4 charitable VIP tickets provided free of charge. There were 7 VIP tickets provided to the families of deceased riders. A total of 8 tickets were provided to His Excellency Lieutenant Governor. A total of 2 tickets were provided to the Mayor of Douglas, for the Mayor and Mayoress to attend.
It is normal practice to provide complimentary TT tickets to the Lieutenant Governor and the Mayor of Douglas.
How many staff in IOM government received complimentary or free TT entrance/tickets? None.
How many Ministers, MHKs and MLCs and relatives received free or complimentary tickets? A total of 7 Ministers, MHK’s and MLC’s received a total of 20 tickets, although a number of these were to accompany HE.
