I write in connection with your request for information dated 10th November 2017, which was received by this office on 10th November 2017. I note you seek access to the following information:

How many Fixed Penalties have been quashed/withdrawn/cancelled following submissions of the 'Request for Review' process? The period is for the last two years, 2016 and 2017.

Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within the Isle of Man Constabulary to locate information relevant to your request. I can confirm that the Isle of Man Constabulary hold the information you have requested. To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within the Registry Department. I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.

For fixed penalty tickets between 01/01/16 to 10/11/17: 66 were adjudicated as No Further Action following appeal 8 were cancelled following appeal The total is 74 for the period.

Each appeal is dealt with on its merits and on a case by case basis.

Referring to the Chief Constables Annual reports for that period it is possible to deduce that there approximately 1000 tickets issued during that period. It should be noted that for the purposes of the annual report this figure is calculated in the April to April year.
