I note you seek access to the following information: a) How many police officers have retired in the last three months b) How many police officers left in the last three months c) What and how many staff police posts should be as to the number now Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within the Isle of Man Constabulary to locate information relevant to your request. A clarification question was asked: Do you mean - the difference in numbers of Police Officers we are permitted to have, governed by head count, compared to the number of officers we physically have serving as Police Officers? To which you agreed. I can confirm that the Isle of Man Constabulary hold the information you have requested. To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within the Organisational Development Department. I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. a) And b) As at 15th May 2017, the Constabulary has had 7 resignations and 7 retirements in the last 3 months. c) The physical number of officers as at today is 203 (two part-time officers included) Full Time Equivalent totals 202.1. The actual number the Constabulary should have is 220 .
