REQUEST UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2015 (“the Act”)
Thank you for your request dated 29 October 2017.
Your request is in two parts
1: “A copy of the last financial year accounts” 2: “How many people are employed full time, part-time and zero contracts”
Response to your request
Looking at your questions separately:
1: “A copy of the last financial year accounts”
Manx National Heritage accounts fall within Government’s audited Accounts (Dark Blue Book) which are available on the Government website please see link below:
https://www.gov.im/media/1359110/iom-government-accounts-dark-blue-book-2016-17.pdf
There is however more specific detail on Manx National Heritage in the Detailed Government Accounts (Light blue Book), also on the website, link below:
https://www.gov.im/media/1358013/detailed-government-accounts-year-ended-31-march-2017.pdf
In addition to Manx National Heritage’s Government Accounts, separate accounts are produced for the Manx Museum and National Trust which is a registered charity on the Isle of Man registration number 603. A PDF copy of their latest available accounts for 2015/16 has therefore been provided as an attachment with this reply.
2: “How many people are employed full time, part-time and zero contracts”
Manx National Heritage (MNH) employed the following: From 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017 Full time (37+ hours) = total 50 staff Part time (below 37 hours) = total 12 staff
In addition to the above MNH requires a flexible workforce due mainly to the seasonal nature of its
activities and varying resource requirements. It therefore employs staff on a zero hours or casual basis.
The total number of people who were available to work for MNH on the relevant basis has therefore been
provided as below:
From 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017 Zero hours = total 131 registered of which 90 were employed at various times during the year.
