The table below shows the numbers of all staff across services who have left since 1 April 2021. This includes Social Work Assistants, Family Support Workers and administrative staff. It is not possible to break this down to qualified social workers only, doing so would require Manx Care to undertake substantial compilation or collation of information that it holds. Manx Care is not required to do this in accordance with section 8(3) of the Freedom of Information Act 2015.

How many individuals have held the principle social worker post in Adult Services since 1st April 2021 including on an interim or Limited Term Appointment (LTA) basis?
For the purposes of this request, this post is taken to the mean any role at grade D612 Principal Social Worker (pay band 29) in Adult Social Work. As at 1 April 2021, there were 2 posts in existence within the structure at this grade. One was permanent and vacant according to PiP, the other was an occupied ‘mirror’ position on a limited term basis as absence cover for the permanent post. There are currently 2 Group Manager roles at grade D612 in Adult Social Work. These have been occupied since 2021 by two agency members of staff, two interim members of staff and more recently by one permanent Group Manager / Principal Social worker commenced who employment in September 2023. A recruitment exercise in respect of the second Group Manager role is currently ongoing.

Where the information pre-dates Manx Care, this also includes Community Care Adult Services statistics. The data includes all staff employed at the time. It is not possible to break this down to qualified social workers only, doing so would require Manx Care to undertake substantial compilation or collation of information that it holds. Manx Care is not required to do this in accordance with section 8(3) of the Freedom of Information Act 2015. It is estimated that to provide this information in the format requested would take an additional 20 hours of work, on top of a substantial amount of time taken to compile this request.
