We write further to your request which was received on 27 September 2022 and which states:

"1. As a follow up to FOI 2504269 please can you confirm if the figures provided include Isle of Man residents who were flown off island for treatment and subsequently died in UK hospital? 2. If the figures quoted in 2504269 do not include for Isle of Man residents who died in a UK hospital then please can you provide these figures for the last 5 years split out month by month. Thank you"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Cabinet Office does not hold the information that you have requested.

In order to provide advice and assistance, we can confirm that the requested information is not held by Public Health. It is our understanding that deaths are registered in the place that the person died, rather than where they are resident. The Isle of Man Civil Registry may be able to further advise on the death registration process. The mortality data held by Public Health is only for deaths registered in the Isle of Man.
