Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 6 September 2022 and which states:

"Have any number of concerns/complaints relating to inappropriate conduct occurring in the payroll office been made by staff or customers since 2020. If so what did the inappropriate conduct consist of and were staff involved advised to then comply with the code of conduct for public servants?"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Cabinet
Office does not hold the information that you have requested. Managers in the payroll team have not been notified nor are aware of any formal complaints within the timeframe specified in the request, regarding inappropriate conduct occurring in the payroll office. Informal concerns or complaints would usually be dealt with by face to face interactions with staff members as applicable. I would like to offer the following information to provide advice and assistance. Staff across the public service can raise complaints on a formal basis under Fairness at Work, a framework designed to promote positive relationships at work which is aimed equally at staff and managers. This includes procedures for dealing with inappropriate conduct. Fairness at Work policy and guidance are available online here: https://hr.gov.im/fairness-at-work/. In addition, employees may access a formal Grievance Procedure, details of which are available online here: https://hr.gov.im/terms-conditions-for-employees/civil-service/section-b-employee- relations/grievances/ The Cabinet Office has a published Complaints Procedure for members of the public to make complaints regarding standards of service provided by Cabinet Office. Please quote the reference number 2614381 in any future communications.
