We write further to your request which was received on 12 August 2022 and which states:

"Request information as follows - How many parcels of land have been dezoned since 11th Oct 2011. What reason was given for the dezonings."

Our response to your request is as follows: Since 2011 the amount of land 'de-zoned' - which is taken to mean land which had once been allocated for development in a statutory development plan but has since been removed from having any land use allocation - is set out below: 2 parcels of land in the South at Knock Rushen and Red Gap - Total = 8.25 ha. Reasons related to 1. Landscape impact and 2. Deliverability. 3 parcels of land in the East all in Laxey - Total = 3.6 ha. Reasons related to 1. Lack of evidence to demonstrate surface water run-off could be mitigated 2. Inadequate access and junction arrangements 3. Concerns about the sustainability of sites and 4. Deliverability (some sites had not come forward despite being allocated for many years).
