Dear ###

I write further to your request which was received on 19 July 2022, to the clarification of your request that you subsequently provided and to our exchange yesterday.
Your request asks as shown below -

  1. Please release any and all information related to consideration and implementation of employment practices liability insurance, what quotes have been - a) requested, and b) received from what broker and what insurer relevant to employment practices liability insurance;

  2. Has any - a) quote opportunity and [/or] b) cover been refused by any such (a) broker or (b) insurer or (c) reinsurer primarily due to the historical frequency and costs of employment disputes in the Isle of Man public sector. As previously advised, in this instance, the Treasury will need to apply a practical refusal reason to all parts of your request under section 11(3)(a) of the Act (information not held). This is because, in dealing with Government insurance Treasury has not sought insurance quotes from any broker that has been contracted to provide insurance brokerage to Government, for employment practices liability cover, therefore none have been received, nor, by default, any refused. In addition, there are no briefing papers or any other documentation that would clarify or confirm whether or not the subject of employment practices liability cover has discussed or any decision made in relation to this type of cover.

Please quote the reference number 2539325 in any future communications.
