During the Covid-19 pandemic some employees in the private and public sector worked from home instead of the usual work place or office. A FOI reply dated 20.4.22 from the Cabinet Office stated that there were 8380 persons employed by IOM Government as at 31st March 2022. How many of such employees continue to work from home either all or any part (e.g. 1 day) of the working week as at Friday 20th May 2022? Thank you.

We write further to your request which was received on 19 May 2022 and which states:

"During the Covid-19 pandemic some employees in the private and public sector worked from home instead of the usual work place or office. A FOI reply dated 20.4.22 from the Cabinet Office stated that there were 8380 persons employed by IOM Government as at 31st March 2022. How many of such employees continue to work from home either all or any part (e.g. 1 day) of the working week as at Friday 20th May 2022? Thank you."

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Cabinet Office does not hold the information that you have requested.

Statistics on the number of members of staff working from home are not collated.
Such arrangements are agreed between managers and individual staff members and may be on a regular, temporary or permanent basis or ad hoc arrangements agreed at short notice.
