| Paving will continue on the seaside opposite Granville Street plus kerbing being installed at Senna Slip. Quids Inn to Rochester Court paving has been completed. Please note that for a period up to 6 hours on Thursday 29 April from 9.30am the southbound lane will be closed with parking suspended on the walkway. Manx Utilities will be carrying out essential cleaning/maintenance at Loch Promenade Pump Station. All southbound and northbound traffic will be diverted up Broadway for this period only. | ||||

Welcome to the MyProm newsletter
Welcome to your weekly update on Douglas Promenade Refurbishment. The contractor,
Auldyn Construction, remain busy with extra teams employed to work on block paving.

Loch Promenade
Douglas Borough Council have started fitting the street light heads on the recently installed
lighting columns on Loch Promenade, with the Department's teams continuing to work on
pedestrian crossings and side streets in this area.
Howard Street continues to be a hive of activity with Manx Utilities carrying out final low
voltage electrical connections this Thursday and Friday 29 and 30 April, 2021 with the
Department of Infrastructure installing ducting. This will mean pedestrian access will be
prohibited during this period. Access to Bon Fabrics will be maintained via Strand Street.

Our response to your request is as follows: There has been no specific communication between Department Officials and Sleepwell Hotels regarding the proposed reinstatement of the Horse Tramway tracks. Information and regular updates on the proposals and progress of the Douglas Promenade Refurbishment Scheme were made available to business owners along the Promenade through a weekly newsletter. An example of this newsletter can be found in Appendix 1.
