Dear ###
We write further to your request which was received on 19 April 2022 and which states:
"1. How many people are currently registered on the first time buyer fixed register and how long have people been registered for 2. How many people have used the first time buyers to purchase a house (not flat) or bungalow since 2018 to today - if you hold this information only for first time fixed that’s fine but if available on first home choice in the same period I’d like this too. 3. How many people registered on first time fixed are waiting for a house specifically. If you don’t hold this information can you confirm how many couple/singles with 1 or more dependent are registered on first home fixed and how long they’ve been registered” Our response to your request is as follows:
- The total is 433. Appendix 1 (attached) shows the dates of registration broken down by financial quarter. As the 22/23 Q1 is only a 22 day period to 22nd April, there are only 2 showing as registered in that quarter.
- There have been 43 house or bungalow purchases under the Fixed Scheme since 2018 to date (22nd April 2022); 16 house or bungalow purchases under the Choice Scheme since 2018 to date (22nd April 2022)
- We do not hold information on how many buyers are waiting specifically for a house. There are 116 applications from individuals or couples with 1 or more children. Appendix 1 shows how long each of these has been registered. Please quote the reference number 2397561 in any future communications.
