Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 4th April 2022 and which states:

"Information regarding amounts paid to 3rd parties for: Management of the campsite Maintenance of campsite facilities For the past 5 years. Plus income received from the permit system, for the same period."

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. Sulby Claddagh costs and income 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 Management £8,035 £4,279 £7,084 £34,292 £56,055 Maintenance £7,590 £17,681 £10,060 £7,200 £6,490 Income £8,430 £5,662 £12,573 £5,872 £7,440 The Department does not formally record all the individual costs associated with management and maintenance of the Claddagh as some of the services provided by 3rd parties are part of larger estate wide contracts and respective invoices are not itemised by location – therefore, there are some costs incurred not illustrated in this table. ‘Management’ predominantly relates to on site security and supervision costs from an appointed 3rd party. The daily administration and management costs from the Department are not included. ‘Maintenance’ includes grass and vegetation cutting, dog waste and litter collection and disposal, electrical and plumbing services, septic tank and chemical toilet emptying, general signage, fire extinguisher servicing, provision of additional toilets. This does not include toilet block cleaning which is undertaken by a contractor and managed and financed by the Department of Infrastructure. ‘Income’ figures do not reflect any refunds issued after the camping season.
