In 2019 the DOI announced a project to improve the old railway line between St Johns and Kirk Michael estimated to cost £1.3 million including reinstating the former railway bridges at Glen Wyllin, Glen Mooar and Ballaleece. Please can you confirm the following: 1. How much has been spent on the project up to 31st March 2022? 2. What is the cost up to 31st March 2022 of scaffold hire on the bridge at Glen Mooar? 3. How much is the scaffold hire at Glen Mooar costing per week? 4. What were the design/architect fees for the overall scheme? 5.   1. How much is the scaffold hire at Glen Mooar costing per week? The Contractor Paul Carey & Sons Limited was instructed to dismantle the scaffolding on 15/12/21, so currently there is no weekly charge for scaffolding.
  2. What were the design/architect fees for the overall scheme? The Project Design Team fees for the scheme to 31 March 2022 are £31,367.56.
  3. What is the updated overall projected final cost of the scheme once completed? The Business Case approved amount was £1.3 million, however following completion of detailed design the Stage I3 tender action report and investment decision confirmed a total capital cost for the project of £1,716,202.00.
