We write further to your request which was received on 15 March 2022 and which states:

"How did recent jobs advertised (specifically the 'Literacy Coordinator' and the extra 'Assistant Headteacher' roles) get approved to be created? Who approved them? Literacy Coordinator role filled in summer 2021. Assistant Headteacher role advertised in Jan/Feb 2022."

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. The process that was followed for the roles specified within your request is as follows: 1. The vacancies were identified within the service area (Ramsey Grammar School). 2. The vacancies were approved by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the Department of Education, Sport and Culture. 3. The adverts for the vacancies were uploaded to Jobtrain by the service area. 4. A Human Resources Advisor from the Office of Human Resources checked the vacancies to determine whether a suitable candidate may be identified through the re-deployment register. A representative from the Human Resources Sourcing Team then checked the advert and supporting documents for spelling, punctuation and grammar. 5. The vacancies were then advertised on the Jobtrain website. Please quote the reference number 2325985 in any future communications.
