We write further to your request which was received on 9 March 2022 and which
states:

Our response to your request is as follows: I have enclosed copies of the
information that is being released to you along with some further contextual wording
below.

We are releasing the full list of job titles at Attorney General’s Chambers (“AGC”) as at
14 March 2022. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this
instance an absolute exemption applies under section 20(2)(b) [Information accessible
to the applicant by other means], as the Public Services Commission (“PSC”) sala ry
scales are published online here;

In order to assist you, the list of job titles displays the applicable grade for each job
alongside it.

Please note that the PSC implemented an agreement regarding revised salary scales
for new starters terms and conditions with effect from 1 April 2016. Since that date,
all new AGC vacancies have been advertised with the new starters salary scales
ap plicable to the grade of the position.

The PSC also implemented market rating of Legal Family Roles and the AGC has three
legal sub families [Civil; Criminal; and Legislative Drafting]. Only roles which require
mandatory Advocate, Barrister or Solicitor qualifications are market rated in AGC, and
the combined salary maximum with market rating supplement for the roles are shown
on the enclosed ‘AGC Position Grade and Max Scales with Market Rating Adjustments –
March 2022’ document.

Please note that AGC t otal salary expenditure is published annually by the Treasury.

No PSC or Crown employees stationed at AGC receive performance pay awards. A
weekly allowance is paid for out of hours and on - call rota which applies to the Criminal
Prosecutor roles who, when on call, provide advice outside of normal office hours and attend Court at weekends and Bank Holidays.
