Please can you confirm the number of positive HIV test results for patients in the Isle of Man per year from 2015 to the present day. Could you also provide the total number of HIV / Aids tests completed for the same period. If possible please can we have the 2 months of data from 2022 up to the end of Feb.

We write further to your request which was received on 24 February 2022 and which states:

"Please can you confirm the number of positive HIV test results for patients in the Isle of Man per year from 2015 to the present day. Could you also provide the total number of HIV / Aids tests completed for the same period. If possible please can we have the 2 months of data from 2022 up to the end of Feb."

Our response While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide the information you have requested; Manx Care does not hold the information that the applicant has requested (section 11(3)(a) of the Act). The Pathology Directorate undertakes approximately 1200 HIV tests per annum but many of the tests are screens for the blood donor service.
