We write further to your request which was received on 21 February 2022 and which states:
"I seek publication of the contract between Manx Care and Medefer that details what services the latter will provide for Manx Care. Furthermore I seek the publication of the cost of this arrangement and the length of the contract."
Our response: The contract between Manx Care and Medefer is for the provision of a Virtual Outpatients Elective Care Service for the following specialties: Orthopaedics; Ear Nose & Throat; Gastroenterology; Cardiology; Respiratory Medicine; Pain Management and Dermatology. Medefer are providing a consultant-led virtual outpatient service, providing consultant clinical first and follow up review of service users, the co-ordination of locally delivered investigations, and the virtual treatment and review of service users where clinically appropriate. Medefer will refer service users back to Manx Care where subsequent physical review and treatment is clinically indicated. The contractual arrangement commenced on 01/02/22 for a 12 month period, with an expected contract value of circa £594k. The indicative activity plan is for the delivery of approximately 3,100 first virtual outpatient attendances and 2,400 follow up virtual outpatient attendances over the duration of the contract. A copy of the contract is provided, excluding commercially sensitive confidential and GDPR specific information. Please quote the reference number 2285781 in any future communications.
