Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 2 February 2022 and which states:

"Can you provide locations for all 5G towers and signal boosters on the Island? Would you be able to provide the type of tower or booster in each location as well?"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested.

The Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority (the Authority) is the Regulatory Authority for the telecommunications, broadcasting and gas sectors on the Island. In relation to the telecommunication sector, the Authority is an economic regulator charged with promoting sustainable competition in the Isle of Man. The Authority is not a technical standards regulator and does not mandate technology or equipment. The relevant operators would be the most appropriate bodies to direct these queries to, however please note that as private companies they are not subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act and would not therefore be required to supply information.
