Dear Sir As advised, I am writing to ask for the total number of Isle of Man deaths that occurred in 2020 and in 2021. Also, can you advise if patients transferred to a hospital across who subsequently die there are recorded in the Isle of Man and included in the stats? Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

We write further to your request which was received on 28 January 2022 and which states:
"Dear Sir 1. As advised, I am writing to ask for the total number of Isle of Man deaths that occurred in 2020 and in 2021. 2. Also, can you advise if patients transferred to a hospital across who subsequently die there are recorded in the Isle of Man and included in the stats? Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Our response to your request is as follows: 1. Information is collected and collated by the Central Registry (Civil Registry) and published via the Cabinet Office. The number of recorded deaths in the Isle of Man are already publicly available, please follow this link to the required statistics: https://www.gov.im/about-the- government/departments/cabinet-office/statistics-isle-of-man/isle-of- man-in-numbers/ 2. The figures do not include deaths recorded off-island and the Department holds no records in this regard. It may be that the Department of Health and Social Care would hold some information regarding patients who are being treated off Island under the reciprocal health agreements.
