Dear ###
We write further to your request which was received on 26 January 2022 and which states:
"Dear DOI, Now that the railway timetables for 2022 have been published, please confirm: 1) Total expected operating cost for the 2022 railway season for the Manx Electric Railway, Isle of Man Steam Railway and Snaefell Mountain Railway 2) Total forecast revenue for the 2022 railway season for the Manx Electric Railway, Isle of Man Steam Railway and Snaefell Mountain Railway 3) The expected operating loss for the 2022 railway season for the Manx Electric Railway, Isle of Man Steam Railway and Snaefell Mountain Railway 4) The expected operating cost, revenue and loss or the 2022 railway season on the Douglas Horse Trams Thank you"
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested.
This is because the budget for 2022 is yet to be passed by Tynwald, therefore the operating cost, forecast revenue, and expected operating loss for 2022 cannot be calculated. The Public Transport Division should be able to provide this information once the budget for 2022 has been approved.
Please quote the reference number 2216149 in any future communications.
