We write further to your request which was received on 18 January 2022 and which states:
"How many respondents were there to the Cabinet Offices consultation on the draft island plan that ran between the 30 Nov and 12 December? A copy of the direction given to the civil servant to run the consultation for only 2 weeks rather than the 6 weeks minimum outlined in the government guidance on consultation? A copy of the responses submitted by any local authority to the consultation. And, how many people made representations in person at the drop in sessions and how was their views recorded?" Our response to your request is as follows: "How many respondents were there to the Cabinet Offices consultation on the draft island plan that ran between the 30 Nov and 12 December? 30. A copy of the direction given to the civil servant to run the consultation for only 2 weeks rather than the 6 weeks minimum outlined in the government guidance on consultation? While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Cabinet Office does not hold the information that you have requested. The agreement of the timeframe for the consultation was not confirmed in writing. A copy of the responses submitted by any local authority to the consultation. Not held. None of the responses received are attributed to a Local Authority. And, how many people made representations in person at the drop in sessions and how was their views recorded?" Approximately 98 individuals attended across the four events held. Breakdown of numbers were as follows:
West - 15 (9 checked in and 6 unregistered) North - 28 (18 checked in and at least 10 people who were there prior to the 4pm start and therefore went unregistered)
South - 35 (23 checked in and 12 unregistered) East - Attendees not checked in but there were 20 registered Total - 98 approximately (out of 115 registered) Representations made to Ministers at the events were fed back to officers for recording.
