We write further to your request which was received on 7 January 2022 and which states:

"Since the NSC flumes reopened in November 2021, can you confirm: 1. How many swimmers using the flumes have sustained injuries? 2. How many have required first aid administered on site at the NSC? 3. How many have required hospital treatment? 4. On what dates have these injuries occurred (date range is fine if unable to provide specific dates)?"

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. 1. How many swimmers using the flumes have sustained injuries? 11 in total. 5 on the flume and 6 relating to slip trip or falls on the staircase and platform. 2. How many have required first aid administered on site at the NSC? 11 3. How many have required hospital treatment? No information held as no ambulances were called, however recommendation was given to one to attend A&E. 4. On what dates have these injuries occurred (date range is fine if unable to provide specific dates)? The 5 injuries relating to the flume occurred between 10 – 20 December 2021. The 6 other injuries occurred between 10 December 2021 – 5 January 2022.
