We write further to your request which was received on 8 December 2021 and which states:
"Please advise how long is the IOM government's lease on the proposed river berth and adjoining land at Princes Dock. What year does this lease expire and is it renewable."
Our response to your request is as follows: The Department has two leases for the Site, one with Peel Land and Property (Ports) Limited (“the Peel Lease”) and one with the Duchy of Lancaster (“the Duchy Lease”) The Peel lease runs from the 8th November 2019 until the 28th April 2252 (“the Term”). There is no provision of renewal at the end of the Term. The Duchy Lease runs from the 1st November 2019 for 50 years with no contractual provision for extension. Both leases are registered with HM Land Registry. The Duchy Lease relates to the pile in the river bed for the mooring dolphin. Please quote the reference number 2136977 in any future communications.
