Dear ###
We write further to your request which was received on 7th December 2021 which states: "Pls provide the number of all cardiac events per month for the years 2015-2021. No need to separate into the types of heart issues, just the total numbers per month for the years requested. Thx” And, following request for further clarification on 16th December 2021: “This is relating to all incidences on the island for the past 5 years. Not just Nobles, but outside and in the community also pls." Our Response While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, complying with your request for information would require Manx Care to undertake substantial compilation or collation of information that it holds, which Manx Care is not required to do under the Act1 1 Section 8(3) (things a public authority is not required to do by the Act S11(3)(b) Unfortunately community data is not collated at this time. However, below is a breakdown of all discharge episodes that have “Cardiac Event” coded as the PRIMARY diagnosis. This covers Nobles & Ramsey and does NOT include Archived or Private Patients Please note: there is a considerable backlog of uncoded, finished consultant episodes from 2020 which could contribute to lower numbers being seen in these results during this period. Manx Care is actively working to develop a sustainable, accurate and timely clinical coding function to address this situation.
