We write further to your request which was received on 6 December 2021 and which states:
"What is the professional body costs policy to include payments and/or reimbursements re professional bodies such as the IOM Law Society, CIPD and CIPFA and what were the total costs re total employees in each relevant professional body?"
Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.
Whilst the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) does not have its own separate written policy, it is Her Majesty’s Attorney General’s view, as the Accountable Officer, that AGC will meet the cost of professional subscriptions where membership is an essential criterion for holding a professional position in AGC or where an employee has been encouraged to develop into a profession required in AGC.
