Our Response
FOI 1931457 requested: Q1 Please can you confirm the number of patients admitted to nobles hospital suffering from a stroke from Mar 2019 - present day July 2021. Q2 Please can you also confirm the number of patients admitted to nobles hospital for heart attacks and elevated heart rates for the same period and following clarification, our results are based on: Q1 Generic Strokes and Haemorrhagic strokes Q2 Heart attacks, high blood pressure and elevated blood pressure without diagnosis of hypertension
For further detail please see Appendix 1 Please note: there is a considerable backlog of uncoded, finished consultant episodes from 2020 which could contribute to lower numbers being seen in these results during this period. Manx Care is actively working to develop a sustainable, accurate and timely clinical coding function to address this situation. Please quote the reference number 2074149 in any future communications.
